Current "Winter Finch" report for Bruce Co

Pine Siskin - Present in low numbers with American Goldfinches, but no large flocks.

Common Redpoll - Present in low numbers. It's late April, so they are moving north in numbers now. Small flocks present at some feeders.

Hoary Redpoll - basically absent now. No reports in weeks

White-winged Crossbill - present in low numbers in N Bruce. Most sightings of singles/pairs.

Red Crossbill - Virtually absent. Two reports this year

Evening Grosbeak - Low numbers but increasing as of late April. Small flocks hanging around feeders.

Pine Grosbeak - basically absent now.

Bohemian Waxwing - basically absent. Only two sightings in the last two weeks.
